A kickoff ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m., with races beginning at 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Participants can choose from a 5K, 10K or one-mile fun run.<\/p>\n<p>Registration costs are:<\/p>\n<p>$40 for the 5K$50 for the 10K$25 for the one-mile fun run<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/runsignup.com\/Race\/NC\/Jacksonville\/RunningwiththeLaw5K\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Interested runners can register by clicking here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Race packet pickup will be held Aug. 3 from noon to 7 p.m. at Fleet Feet, located at 1154 Western Blvd. Packets can also be picked up before the race at the downtown Riverwalk main stage. <\/p>\n<p>Race day check-in and registration will begin at 5 p.m. at the downtown main stage.<\/p>\n<p>Law enforcement officers from several agencies are expected to participate. Proceeds will benefit NC Special Olympics, which has a longstanding relationship with Jacksonville police and law enforcement through the Law Enforcement Torch Run, Tip a Cop and other fundraising events.<\/p>\n<p>We are excited to return to downtown Jacksonville for this year\u2019s Running with the Law Sunset Pursuit,\u201d Jacksonville Police Chief Ashley Weaver said. \u201cWe have switched up the routes a little and incorporated food trucks. This is a family-friendly event that allows people of all abilities to participate.
