Securing tickets for The Odyssey is still tough a week after release, but this is one you have to see on the big screen. The ultimate way to watch it is in IMAX 70mm \u2014 as Christopher Nolan intended \u2014 although there\u2019s only about two dozen theaters in the U.S. equipped with these rare projectors.<\/p>\n

In Florida, there\u2019s really only one place you can go: the AutoNation IMAX Theater in Fort Lauderdale.<\/p>\n

Located inside the Museum of Discovery and Science, it is the sole theater in the entire state able to project native large-format 70mm film. It features a six-story-tall screen measuring 60 feet high by 80 feet wide, also making it the largest movie screen in South Florida!<\/p>\n

Standard digital IMAX screens tend to crop the image to a 1.90:1 aspect ratio, whereas the 15\/70mm film projector at AutoNation allows for a 1.43:1 aspect ratio to cover the screen from floor to ceiling. This is especially important for audiences looking for a movie experience like no other, since Nolan shot the 2026 film entirely on IMAX cameras.<\/p>\n

Because this is the only Florida venue with this capability, tickets are sold out for weeks<\/a>. If you can\u2019t wait for more screenings to become available, a few premium options will give you a better experience than your standard screening, like 70mm film.<\/p>\n

In Miami, Coral Gables Art Cinema is your best option when it comes to an analog 70mm experience. Located on Aragon Avenue, this nonprofit independent theater is the only cinema in the region with dedicated, permanent 70mm projectors. They regular screen 70mm prints of classics, as well as new releases \u2014 and yes, that includes The Odyssey<\/a>.<\/p>\n
