Disney World is facing backlash after guests noticed that the props on the one of the rides was seemingly held together by cheap adhesive.<\/p>\n
The sticky situation reportedly affected Tiana\u2019s Bayou Adventure, a log flume inspired by the 2009 Disney animated film \u201cThe Princess and the Frog.\u201d <\/p>\n
However, one sharp-eyed rider noticed one feature that didn\u2019t belong in this magic setting. \u201cTianas Bayou Adventure is literally being held together with Duct tape, which mind you was not invented during the time period this ride takes place in,\u201d said an X user in a viral post.<\/a><\/p>\n One of the cars sported several strips of the green adhesive. CoasterK24\/X<\/p>\n Accompanying photos show a green car whose rear is slapped with several strips of the green adhesive. <\/p>\n Viewers felt like the tape detracted from the attraction, which transports riders back to 1920s New Orleans, allowing them to take a tour of the film protagonist\u2019s new business, Tiana\u2019s foods.<\/p>\n \u201cOh my GOD NO WAY this is so embarrassing,\u201d said one X user<\/a>, while another wrote<\/a> that Walt Disney would \u201chave a freaking conniption if he saw this.\u201d<\/p>\n A third snarked,<\/a> \u201cIt\u2019s ok! That\u2019s just \u2018go-away green\u2019 duct tape, no one will even see it!\u201d<\/p>\n Tiana\u2019s Bayou Adventure opened in Disney World in June 2024, replacing the iconic Splash Mountain. russell102 \u2013 stock.adobe.com<\/p>\n Others noted that the tape seemed par for the course given the myriad malfunctions that have plagued the water ride since it\u2019s opening in 2024.<\/p>\n \u201cWent on it yesterday and half of Tiana\u2019s head was on the ground,\u201d decried one Redditor.<\/a> \u201cThe ride shut down right after we got off.\u201d<\/p>\n Tiana\u2019s Bayou adventure has been plagued by malfunctions since its opening. Louis\u2019 mouth did not move at all, and the fabric around his neck was torn. The Mama Odie figure at the end was completely static. The screen at the major lift was not on.\u201d<\/p>\n They added, \u201cHow is a ride this new and this major in such a sad state?\u201d<\/p>\n Others bemoaned the fact that \u201cTiana\u2019s Bayou Adventure\u201d replaced Splash Mountain, which they deemed infinitely better.<\/p>\n It appears that the ride\u2019s counterpart at Disneyland, which opened in November 2024, isn\u2019t faring much better. <\/p>\n In January, guests had to be evacuated from the track after one of the log boats started taking on water just before going up the final lift hill.<\/a><\/p>\n
