ORLANDO, Fla. (July 25, 2026)\u00a0\u2013 Orlando City SC (6-9-2, 20 points) earned a 1-0 win over Nashville SC (12-2-3, 39 points) in the club\u2019s first match at the newly renamed Inter.co Stadium and its first home match since the MLS break for the\u00a0FIFA World Cup 2026\u2122. <\/p>\n
The sides played to a scoreless first half, with the Lions creating several chances in the attacking third but unable to break through before halftime. <\/p>\n
Orlando\u00a0finally found the breakthrough in the 72nd minute through Tyrese Spicer. Adri\u00e1n Mar\u00edn picked out Justin Ellis\u00a0between\u00a0Nashville\u2019s lines. After dribbling through multiple defenders, Ellis slipped a pass into the path of a\u00a0darting\u00a0Spicer,\u00a0who\u00a0tucked\u00a0a low left-footed finish into the back of the net. <\/p>\n
