Dine Out Hollywood will give the city\u2019s culinary scene a sweet and savory spotlight.<\/p>\n

SoFlo foodies will have the opportunity to sample three-course prix fixe menus \u2014 appetizer, entree, dessert \u2014 for a discounted price at participating Hollywood restaurants from Oct. 15-Nov. 15.<\/p>\n

\u201cHollywood is really having a moment,\u201d said Herb Conde-Parlato, the city\u2019s economic development manager. \u201cNew residential developments are bringing in new residents, longtime residents continue to show their love for this city, and more visitors are exploring every corner, from the beach to our neighborhoods.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event, part of Hollywood\u2019s Centennial Celebration, \u201cstarted with a simple idea: Shine a light on Hollywood\u2019s dining scene and give our restaurants a bigger stage,\u201d Conde-Parlato said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is eclectic and genuine,\u201d he added. \u201cThere are family owned restaurants that have been serving Hollywood for decades, alongside chefs bringing new ideas and energy. Together they create a food culture that is approachable, diverse and constantly evolving.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chef Anthony Billisi of Mimi\u2019s Ravioli \u2014 who famously competed on the Food Network\u2019s \u201cBake You Rich\u201d in 2019 \u2014 said his family\u2019s market signed on to Dine Out Hollywood for a slightly different reason.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing that we are not a restaurant, we needed to come up with a way to demonstrate our products and give residents of Hollywood a chance to sample and get our products at a discount, allow them to try something and get a sample of what we have been doing for \u2026 years in South Florida,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHollywood has a flavor all its own,\u201d Conde-Parlato said. \u201cYou can enjoy global cuisine in a retail center off State Road 7, grab fresh seafood on the Broadwalk, or try a new creative concept downtown. It\u2019s authentic, diverse and locally driven. That mix of everyday favorites and unexpected finds is what sets us apart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dine Out Hollywood is being produced by the City of Hollywood\u2019s Community Redevelopment Agency and the Office of Communications, Marketing & Economic Development.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy hope is that people use Dine Out Hollywood as an excuse to explore and walk away with a new favorite spot,\u201d Conde-Parlato added. \u201cIf someone discovers a restaurant they had not tried before, and that restaurant sees new faces coming through the door, then it is a win for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Federal Spa and Restaurant in Hollywood will participate in the inaugural Dine Out Hollywood initiative. The relatively new venue is a hybrid restaurant-spa where customers can order items such as ribeyes, grilled octopus, lamb chops and cocktails, then finish their experience with hot jacuzzis, a cold-plunge pool, Finnish saunas or a traditional Russian steam bath.
