The Florida Panthers appear to be done for the summer. <\/p>\n

Last week, the Panthers put their finishing touches on the offseason \u2014 signing defenseman Mikulas Hovorka to a one-year, two-way deal<\/a> before avoiding arbitration with Akira Schmid with a two-year, $4 million contract<\/a>.<\/p>\n Aside from bringing in some more depth for training camp by way of a tryout offers, the Panthers are set. <\/p>\n So, what\u2019s on the horizon?<\/p>\n Not a whole lot. <\/p>\n And that is by design. <\/p>\n The Panthers have most of their team signed through the 2029-30 season. <\/p>\n This summer, the Panthers only had one key free agent in Sergei Bobrovsky. <\/p>\n Next year, the only free agents Bill Zito will have are Garnet Hathaway and Lars Eller \u2014 two players Florida acquired this offseason. Hathaway came to the Panthers in a trade with the Flyers, Eller signed as a free agent. <\/p>\n Cole Reinhardt, whose role on this year\u2019s Florida team has yet to be determined, can also be a free agent next summer.<\/p>\n One of the big pieces of business next offseason will be a new contract for Brady Tkachuk who will be eligible for an extension as he enters the final year of his deal. <\/p>\n And that\u2019s about it. <\/p>\n ON DECK: FLORIDA PANTHERS\u00a0OFFSEASON<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Florida Panthers appear to be done for the summer.
