Key Biscayne police arrested Raymond Anthony Delgado of Hialeah on Thursday, July 23, at a Miami Gardens probation office, more than six months after he allegedly stole packages UPS had delivered to an apartment building in Key Biscayne, according to court records.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old, who has a prior felony record, is accused of stealing packages valued at nearly $6,850 while he was out on probation for another theft<\/a>, a third-degree felony<\/a>, until March 8, 2028, according to court records<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Delgado now faces three new felony charges: burglary of an occupied dwelling, third-degree grand theft and unlawful use of a communication device. His bond was set at $15,000 \u2014 $7,500 for the burglary charge, $5,000 for grand theft and $2,500 for the communication device charge. He entered a plea of not guilty<\/a>.<\/p>\n

His bond review hearing is scheduled for Monday, July 27, at 9 a.m. at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to court documents, Delgado has been arrested 11 times<\/a> and faced 25 charges, ranging from another grand theft charge in 2015 (dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention); cannabis possession in 2018 (nolle prosequi, meaning prosecutors dismissed the case); and domestic battery in 2023 (no action taken).<\/p>\n

Surveillance video shows Delgado tracking a UPS delivery truck with his phone on June 18, according to a police officer’s arrest report obtained by WPLG Local 10 News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That report also stated Delgado walked into the apartment building lobby and told an employee he was authorized to retrieve packages.<\/p>\n

Key Biscayne police arrested Delgado at 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the Florida Department of Corrections Probation Parole Services facility, at 3601 NW 167th St., in Miami Gardens, according to Local 10 News.<\/p>\n
