It happened around 5:30 a.m. at 610 NE 16 Terrace in Fort Lauderdale.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">When officers arrived, they tried to make contact with a man inside, police said. The man, who was later identified as 42-year-old Andrew Green, refused to exit the home. One of Green&#8217;s children was also inside.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Since police &#8220;were not getting compliance,&#8221; a SWAT team and negotiators were called to the residence, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;After a lengthy standoff, Green&#8217;s child exited the residence unharmed,&#8221; police said. &#8220;Green still refused to exit.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The SWAT team deployed an aerosol irritant, a kind of pepper spray, into the dwelling, which forced Green outside, police said. He was then arrested.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Green is facing charges of false Imprisonment, domestic battery by strangulation and domestic battery, police said.
