FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 Fort Pierce police are asking for the public\u2019s help identifying people shown in surveillance images connected to two separate investigations involving vandalism and vehicle burglaries.<\/p>\n
Police said the vandalism occurred at about 4 p.m. July 24 at the Fort Pierce Recreation Center, located at 903 S. 21st Street.<\/p>\n
According to the department, an unidentified woman was captured on camera damaging city property. Police said multiple air-conditioning units, a trailer and a storage shed were damaged.<\/p>\n
The second investigation involves a series of vehicle burglaries reported during the overnight hours of July 27 in the Lawnwood Circle area.<\/p>\n
Police said the burglaries occurred in the 1300 block of Nebraska Avenue and the 1300 block of Peppertree Trail, primarily between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.<\/p>\n
Investigators said several vehicles were burglarized. Some had been left unlocked, while others had windows smashed to gain entry.<\/p>\n
Surveillance footage showed several people in the area wearing hoodies, shorts and backpacks, according to police.<\/p>\n
