We ran to the edge, calling out to her, but quickly realized she had fallen much farther than we first believed,\u201d wrote Victoria Silberbusch, who was vacationing with Giudice and Zardoya, in an Instagram post shared by Giudice.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Milania Giudice (right) and Victoria Zardoya (left) in a photo posted to Instagram on Feb. 2, 2023. Instagram\/@_victoriazardoya<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe immediately began climbing down to reach her while others called 911.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Friends desperately launched flares to help first responders identify their location as quickly as possible, according to Silberbusch. <\/p>\n<p>Giudice shared a <a href=\"http:\/\/tiktok.com\/@milaniagiudice321\/video\/7667061017519721758?referer_url=people.com%2Fmilania-giudice-friend-victoria-zardoya-died-devastating-fall-12028223&amp;refer=embed&amp;embed_source=121374463%2C121468991%2C121439635%2C121749182%2C121433650%2C121404359%2C121497414%2C122349556%2C122221973%2C122122240%2C121351166%2C121811500%2C121960941%2C122122244%2C122122243%2C122122242%2C121487028%2C121679410%2C122258714%2C121331973%2C120811592%2C120810756%2C121885509%3Bnull%3Bembed_card_play&amp;referer_video_id=7667061017519721758\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TikTok<\/a> video of her and Zardoya sitting on a boat with life jackets on and lightly dancing to music from the July 24 outing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The area of the fort where Zardoya fell was part of the historic military battery structures located on the island that was established in 1868 during the Spanish-American War. <\/p>\n<p>Emergency responders from the Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s Office Marine Unit reached the scene, and a medical helicopter was brought in to transport Zardoya to a nearby hospital.<\/p>\n<p>She died on July 26.<\/p>\n<p>Zardoya, 20, died during a trip to Egmont Key, an island off the coast of Tampa Bay, Florida, on July 26, 2026.  Instagram\/@_victoriazardoya<\/p>\n<p>Milania\u2019s father, Joe Giudice, reflected on how close Zardoya was to the family throughout her childhood:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were neighbors for years, and you became part of our family. I can\u2019t believe you\u2019re gone,\u201d he wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo think that a simple fall while just being young and having fun could take such a beautiful life is heartbreaking.
