ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 One of the most popular performances at Creative City Project\u2019s annual IMMERSE festival<\/a> has its own show. <\/p>\n

The Orlando Vocal Collective is bringing an intimate concert experience through expanded vocal arrangements, thrilling harmonies, and world-class lead vocals.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople can expect to experience Orlando Vocal Collective in a much more intimate, honest and personal way,\u201d said founder, Chris Keogh.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt IMMERSE, our performances are built to fill the city streets. They\u2019re large, high-energy experiences celebrating some of the most iconic artists in music. This show gives us the opportunity to bring the audience closer and focus on the heart of what makes OVC special: the voices, the arrangements and the connection between the performers.\u201d<\/p>\n

The show will feature an ensemble of 11 singers and a four-piece band. They will reimagine beloved songs from the iconic sounds of Janet Jackson and Earth, Wind & Fire to Beyonc\u00e9 and Michael Jackson.<\/p>\n

Keogh gave a closer look at what it takes to put together a show like this.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore we choose a song or step into rehearsal, there are weeks of conversations covering budgets, venue agreements, schedules and all the less glamorous, but completely necessary pieces,\u201d Keogh explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce we know the when and the where, we can begin defining the what. We start narrowing down a stage design that doesn\u2019t simply hold the performance, but feels like part of the show itself. Every visual choice helps us understand the world a little more clearly,\u201d said Keogh.<\/p>\n

Performances are 75 minutes and take place at a venue in the heart of downtown Orlando. <\/p>\n

\u201cI hope people leave believing a little more deeply in what can happen when artists are given the space to fully become themselves. OVC began as an idea for one performance, and now we are stepping into a room of our own, building a world around these voices and asking audiences to meet us there. To me, that says something powerful about what is possible when people believe in an idea, nurture it, and allow it to grow.\u201d<\/p>\n
