The expectation for Sears is that he will enroll early at whatever school of his choice in December, following the conclusion of his high school football season with Columbus. The 6-foot-1-inch, 178-pound athlete’s choice will be made between several finalists, including the Florida Gators<\/a>. Besides Florida, other schools that are in the running to sign the blue-chip recruit include Auburn, LSU, Miami, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Syracuse and Texas A&M.<\/p>\n During his sophomore season, Sears totaled 61 tackles, 11 pass breakups, three interceptions, and a forced fumble while catching 42 passes for 942 yards and 11 touchdowns.<\/p>\n A’mir Sears Recruiting Summary<\/p>\n Sears is now ranked No.\u00a02 overall and No.\u00a01 at his position nationally in the 2027 cycle according to the 247Sports composite<\/a>, while the Rivals industry ranking<\/a> has him at Nos.\u00a013 and 3, respectively.
