MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 Two Miami-Dade traffic school employees were arrested after investigators said they fraudulently certified undercover deputies who had not properly completed state-required testing, allowing them to obtain permanent Florida driver\u2019s licenses.<\/p>\n
The Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office <\/a>identified the men as 55-year-old Luis Vidal, who works at Millennium Traffic School Corp., and 57-year-old Daniel Delgado of Amigos Traffic School Inc.<\/p>\n Detectives with the sheriff\u2019s office\u2019s Public Corruption Section investigated the traffic schools with assistance from the Miami-Dade State Attorney\u2019s Office, the county Tax Collector\u2019s Office and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles<\/a>.<\/p>\n During one undercover operation, investigators said Vidal certified that a deputy had completed the examinations required by the state, even though the deputy never took them.<\/p>\n In a separate operation, Delgado allegedly certified that another undercover deputy had successfully completed a driving agility test. Investigators said the deputy committed several traffic violations during the test that should have resulted in an automatic failure.<\/p>\n
