STUART, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 A 31-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night after police said he fled a traffic stop in Stuart<\/a>, struck another vehicle and led officers on a multi-agency pursuit into Martin County.<\/p>\n

According to the Stuart Police Department<\/a>, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle on the evening of July 28 for an equipment violation. Police said the officer also discovered that the registered owner\u2019s driver\u2019s license had been revoked.<\/p>\n

The driver refused to stop and led officers on a brief pursuit through the city, police said. During the chase, the suspect allegedly struck another vehicle and continued driving without stopping.<\/p>\n

The pursuit continued into Martin County, where deputies with the Martin County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/a> and troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol joined the effort.<\/p>\n

Authorities eventually stopped the vehicle, and the driver surrendered without further incident.<\/p>\n

Police identified the driver as David Kingsley Jr., 31.<\/p>\n

Stuart police charged Kingsley with fleeing and eluding law enforcement and leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage. The Florida Highway Patrol and Martin County Sheriff\u2019s Office also filed additional charges, though police did not immediately provide details about those offenses.<\/p>\n

No injuries were reported in the department\u2019s announcement.<\/p>\n
