Leer en espa\u00f1ol<\/a><\/p>\nAccording to an arrest report from the Hialeah Police Department, officers were dispatched to the couple\u2019s home in the 3500 block of West 89th Place just before 12:30 a.m. on May 28 in reference to a call about an unresponsive female.<\/p>\n
When officers arrived, they made contact with the victim\u2019s husband, Rafael Lujan, 37, who spoke with officers.<\/p>\n
Police said he told officers that he had purchased cocaine for him and his wife to consume together, and later found her unresponsive in the bathroom. He then called 911. <\/p>\n
According to the report, Hialeah Fire Rescue personnel transported the victim to Palmetto General Hospital. <\/p>\n
Police said officers found a small plastic bag containing a white powdery substance at the couple\u2019s home, which tested positive for cocaine.<\/p>\n
Hospital staff drew blood from the victim when she arrived, and her blood also tested positive for cocaine, authorities said.<\/p>\n
According to the report, the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital on June 1.<\/p>\n
The Miami-Dade Medical Examiner\u2019s Office ruled her cause of death as acute combined drug toxicity from cocaine and ethanol.<\/p>\n
Because Lujan purchased the cocaine and gave it to his wife, police arrested him on charges of first-degree murder from cocaine and possession of cocaine.<\/p>\n
As of Wednesday afternoon, Lujan was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Online jail records listed his bond as \u201cto be set.\u201d<\/p>\n
