ATMORE, Ala. (WKRG) \u2014 The Atmore Police Department said a man with numerous warrants in Alabama and Florida has been arrested following a police pursuit that ended in a crash.<\/p>\n

According to an APD Facebook post<\/a>, Michael Pleasant was wanted for several crimes, including felony charges of attempting to elude law enforcement and intent to distribute a controlled substance in Alabama. They also said he had warrants out of Florida.<\/p>\n

Officers said they found Pleasant on Wednesday afternoon, July 29, inside a vehicle at a Dollar General on South Main Street. As multiple units arrived at the scene, Pleasant allegedly drove away.<\/p>\n

Officers said they concluded their pursuit near the Alabama-Florida state line on South Main Street.<\/p>\n

Shortly after, officials spotted his vehicle wrecked on Greenland Road in Century, Florida.<\/p>\n

Pleasant was booked into the Escambia County Florida Jail around 4:33 p.m.<\/p>\n

Pleasant will likely face more charges in Alabama, including attempting to elude law enforcement, in addition to his numerous warrants.<\/p>\n
