While working as a radio DJ, Bill said he still always wanted to pursue another passion, acting. <\/p>\n

In 2011, at age 50, Kelly<\/a> signed with an agent, getting roles in TV and films like \u201cWhere the Crawdads Sing,\u201d and acting with Hollywood A-listers like Dwayne \u201cThe Rock\u201d Johnson and now, Sydney Sweeney. <\/p>\n However, Kelly said, his move into acting didn\u2019t just happen overnight. He said it took about a decade to get to where he is now. He said his start was by volunteering as an actor at the FSU Film School<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI run into people all the time that are working on the crews of TV and films and they\u2019re like \u2018I remember you from the film school and I\u2019m so proud of the film school and what they\u2019ve done for me,\u201d Kelly said.<\/p>\n Today, Kelly still works for a local radio station. He said acting is the coolest part-time job and a dream come true.<\/p>\n When asked about his acting career, Kelly said, \u201cI get to leave something for my kids, grandkids and great grandkids to go, \u2018that\u2019s one of your ancestors.\u201d<\/p>\n Kelly\u2019s latest film, \u201cChristy\u201d<\/a> hits theaters on Friday. It tells the story of former professional boxer, Christy Martin, played by Sydney Sweeney.
