(WCJB) &#8211; Officials with the Florida Lottery announced the arrest of a United States Postal Service (USPS) employee accused of stealing a winning ticket.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">They say Lekaysha Lockhart, a USPS letter carrier, redeemed a winning Pick 4 at the Florida Lottery office in Miami on June 19.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">An investigation began after a lottery player reported that she mailed her winning ticket through the postal service, but it never reached its destination.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Lottery agents and USPS investigators arrested Lockhart last week, and they say she confessed to stealing the ticket.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">She was charged with Grand Theft, Dealing in Stolen Property, Filing a False Claim for Payment, two counts of Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communications Device, and Mail Theft.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cOur players deserve confidence that every Lottery prize is protected through strong security measures and diligent oversight,\u201d said Florida Lottery Secretary Reginald D.
