Thirty-one-year-old Brittany Clark<\/a> was swimming in a Central Florida river on June 28 when she was pulled under by a 13-foot alligator and later died from her injuries after her boyfriend wrestled the gator in an attempt to save her. <\/p>\n The final autopsy report from the District Nine Medical Examiner in Orlando says her left arm had near-complete traumatic amputation at the shoulder, and her right arm had near-complete traumatic amputation of the distal forearm. <\/p>\n >> More: Lab results connect DNA of woman fatally attacked to 13-foot alligator<\/a><\/p>\n Clark was with her boyfriend and friend near the Barr Street Trailhead in the Little Big Econ State Forest when they stopped to swim in the Econlockhatchee River around 1:30 p.m.<\/p>\n She was in waist- to chest-deep water when the attack happened, wildlife officials said. <\/p>\n A report from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says the alligator grabbed Clark by the arm and began a death roll.<\/p>\n Clark’s boyfriend grabbed the gator and tried to get it to release Clark<\/a>, but the gator took them both underwater.<\/p>\n The gator released Clark for a moment before biting her other arm, the report says.<\/p>\n >> More: Frantic 911 calls detail response to woman killed by gator in Florida river<\/a><\/p>\n “(The boyfriend) attempted to bring them both to shore when the alligator finally let go and CPR was started on shore,” the report says.<\/p>\n Loved ones remember life of woman killed by alligator in FloridaWatch on<\/a>Final autopsy report<\/p>\n The autopsy says Clark had multiple blunt force injuries, including fractures to the left scapula and clavicle. <\/p>\n She had teeth marks in several areas and lacerations on her back.<\/p>\n FWC said her DNA was found in one of two gators officials captured. <\/p>\n 2 alligators harvested after deadly attack in Seminole County riverWatch on<\/a><\/p>\n Ultimately, her death was ruled an accident. <\/p>\n >> More: ‘Didn’t deserve to go out in such a way’: FWC IDs woman killed by gator in Florida river<\/a><\/p>\n Remembering Clark <\/p>\n In a text message statement to NBC, Clark’s boyfriend called it a nightmare and said Brittany was the strongest person he knew.<\/p>\n “Brittany was such an amazing and caring person and didn’t deserve to go out in such a way,” he said. “She was the strongest and most outgoing person I’ve ever met in my 30 years of life.”<\/p>\n “She loved her job where she operated a bulldozer running a dirt crew,” Clark’s boyfriend, Chance Allison, said. “And loved going out on the water every chance she could. Never in a million years would we have seen this nightmare come about.”<\/p>\n A GoFundMe has been made<\/a> to help get her remains to California, where she’s from.<\/p>\n Her brother spoke to WESH 2, saying his sister was no stranger to water and a ‘beautiful person.’<\/p>\n “She was an amazing sister as anybody could ever ask for,” Nate Clark, said.<\/p>\n He said his sister was thriving after moving back to Orlando following college graduation.<\/p>\n “She was working at a construction company, and they were building all the roads for Florida,” he said.<\/p>\n Learning of her death left him in disbelief.<\/p>\n “My reaction to that was … distraught. I was in shambles. I had a very, very hard time believing that it was real life,” he said.<\/p>\n Nate Clark also expressed gratitude for his sister’s boyfriend, who tried to save her during the attack.<\/p>\n “I can’t imagine the trauma. I can’t imagine how hard it was,” he said.<\/p>\n “He was there for my sister when I couldn’t be.
