{"id":359504,"date":"2026-08-01T00:35:19","date_gmt":"2026-08-01T00:35:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/359504\/"},"modified":"2026-08-01T00:35:19","modified_gmt":"2026-08-01T00:35:19","slug":"city-of-apopka-approves-10-property-tax-hike","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/359504\/","title":{"rendered":"City of Apopka approves 10% property tax hike"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>City of Apopka approves 10% property tax hike<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/0ef9e7e2-0673-4d77-92c5-22a1e3663de5_1697751930.file.png\" width=\"48\" height=\"48\" alt=\"Allison Petro\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>APOPKA, Fla. \u2014<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"0\">The Apopka City Commission voted 4-1 to approve a 10% property tax hike after weeks of debate and failed attempts to agree on higher proposals.  <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"1\">Nadia Anderson was the only commissioner who opposed the hike after expressing concerns. <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"2\">The city had previously proposed a 22% property tax increase, but anything above 10% requires a unanimous vote.
