TAMPA, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 A trip to a Tampa hotel ended with a victim allegedly being robbed at gunpoint after investigators say he met one of the suspects earlier that morning at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino.<\/p>\n
The Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/a> said three suspects have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery that happened July 23 at an Extended Stay America<\/a> on East Sligh Avenue.<\/p>\n According to detectives, the victim met 20-year-old Angelina Johnson at the casino before returning to his hotel. Investigators said Johnson and two men later identified as 22-year-old Mario Dejournett and 22-year-old Tyrik Griffin approached the victim in the hotel parking lot.<\/p>\n Deputies said Dejournett and Griffin pulled out firearms and robbed the victim of jewelry and his wallet before all three suspects fled the scene.<\/p>\n Through their investigation, detectives identified all three suspects and obtained arrest warrants.<\/p>\n See also: Florida hit-and-run suspect accused of crashing into home, stabbing 2<\/a><\/p>\n The Pinellas County Sheriff\u2019s Office arrested Johnson and Dejournett on July 24. They were booked into the Orient Road Jail on July 29.<\/p>\n Griffin was arrested by Pinellas County deputies on July 31 and is awaiting transfer to Hillsborough County.<\/p>\n All three suspects face counts of robbery with a firearm involving property valued at $750 or more but less than $20,000.<\/p>\n \u201cThis was a coordinated, violent crime that left the victim shaken and robbed at gunpoint,\u201d Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister<\/a> said.<\/p>\n
