The timing for most storms will mid to late afternoon. A few storms could become strong with damaging wind gusts, heavy rain, frequent lightning, and small hail being the main threats.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1_76904d.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1740466\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Looking ahead, we will stay soggy all week of the week as deep tropical moisture pools over Florida.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/2_9d86f4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1740468\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rain chances will stay high through the end of the week as a mid-level low approaches from the Atlantic. This will bring extra juice to the area and could mean a heavy rain and flood threat.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/3_c84016.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1740469\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Widespread rainfall totals of 2 \u2013 5 inches of rain is expected across South Florida over the next seven days. This is fantastic news since we are still in a drought and need the rain.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1740470\"  \/>TROPICAL UPDATE:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s August \u2014 but it sure doesn\u2019t seem like it in the Atlantic. All is quiet as Super El Ni\u00f1o flexes its muscles with dry air, wind shear, and Saharan dust dominating the basin. I don\u2019t see any signs of tropical development for the next seven days.
