\n\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Cape Coral Police Department announced a new “Sharewear” safety initiative, aimed at people who may be prone to wandering or medical emergencies.Made possible with grant funding, the bracelets feature a technology that allows a smartphone to scan the bracelet and access important information about the wearer, including emergency contacts and medical details.The bracelets are waterproof, require no charging or batteries, and have been introduced to officers who are trained to scan them when spotted during emergencies.
