(WCTV) &#8211; A Tallahassee man was arrested after allegedly stabbing another man multiple times with a box cutter, according to arrest documents. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Arrest papers show John McClendon is charged with attempted murder. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">On July 30, officers responded to the scene of a reported stabbing near Jakes and Patterson St. The victim told police McClendon had been arguing with him at a nearby restaurant, according to arrest papers. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Tallahassee man arrested, charged with attempted murder after box cutter stabbing\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/KNZLIPU2IVH6VEIQQFVLH6IGJ4.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Tallahassee man arrested, charged with attempted murder after box cutter stabbing(Leon County Jail)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The victim said McClendon followed him down the street before pulling out a box cutter and stabbing him from behind, documents show. The victim said he was eventually able to take the box cutter and use it to defend himself. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to arrest documents, the victim sustained seven stab wounds and marks during the incident. McClendon also received several injuries, including stab wounds. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">When speaking with McClendon, he told officers he bought a beer at a nearby gas station before he was followed by the victim, according to arrest papers. McClendon said the victim followed him and threw a brick at his back.
