Orlando, Fla. (Aug. 4, 2026) \u2013\u00a0Inter.co Stadium will host the U.S. Men\u2019s National Team\u00a0for an international\u00a0friendly against Peru on Saturday, Sept.\u00a026, U.S. Soccer announced today. The Fan Appreciation Match\u00a0will kick off at 4:30 p.m. ET and be broadcast on TNT, truTV, HBO Max, Telemundo, Universo and Peacock,\u00a0with radio coverage provided by\u00a0Westwood One Sports\u00a0and F\u00fatbol de Primera.<\/p>\n

The match will mark the USMNT’s first appearance since the FIFA World Cup 2026\u2122 and the team’s eighth all-time match at Inter.co Stadium. The Americans last played in the venue in January 2025, earning a 3-0 victory over Costa Rica in an international friendly.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Through seven\u202fall-time\u202fmeetings,\u202fthe USMNT are 3W-2L-2D against Peru, most recently drawing on Oct. 16, 2018, in East Hartford, Conn.\u00a0The two sides have\u202fmet in Florida once before, with the United States earning a 1-0 victory on a goal from Cobi Jones during the group stage of the Concacaf Gold Cup on Feb. 16, 2000.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Peru boasts a rich soccer tradition within South America’s CONMEBOL confederation, highlighted by a Copa Am\u00e9rica title in 1975 and five FIFA World Cup appearances. The nation reached a record-high No. 10 ranking in the FIFA World Rankings in 2017 before qualifying for its most recent World Cup in 2018.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Since opening\u00a0in 2017, Inter.co\u202fStadium has\u202fbeen a\u00a0successful\u00a0venue\u202ffor the USMNT,\u202fwith\u202fthe team holding an\u202funblemished\u202frecord at the home of Orlando City SC\u00a0and the Orlando Pride.\u202fThrough seven matches,\u202fthe U.S.\u202fholds a perfect\u202f7W-0L-0D\u202fmark\u202fwith 25 goals scored and just two allowed.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
The venue also holds a special connection to U.S. defender Alex Freeman, who developed through Orlando City’s academy and spent three seasons with the club’s first team before joining LaLiga side Villarreal. Freeman enjoyed a breakout FIFA World Cup 2026\u2122 campaign, including a decisive goal against Australia that secured first place in the group’s standings for the United States. He was named MLS Young Player of the Year in 2025 before making the move to Spain.<\/p>\n
