The driver, \u201cfearing for his life,\u201d took them from Fort Lauderdale to West Park before dropping them off at Dixson\u2019s home.<\/p>\n<p>Dixson was arrested in Omaha, Nebraska, 11 days after the incident. His attorney didn\u2019t immediately respond Tuesday night to a request for comments.<\/p>\n<p>The woman was shot in the chest multiple times and survived, according to Broward County court records. Dixson is accused of attempted murder, armed kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the incident, court records show. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 4.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter shooting a woman multiple times, Bakari Jahiem Dixson turned a hired driver into his getaway driver at gunpoint and threatened to kill him if he did not comply,\u201d U.S. Attorney Jason A.
