Here are nine eateries we\u2019re anticipating in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Please note: Opening dates are subject to change.<\/p>\n<p>Broward County<\/p>\n<p>Peppi\u2019s Pizza,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/14R49bdEdjrMTj859\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">1900 E. Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale<\/a>: This pizza parlor became a viral sensation when\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/aQLojsYEDuU?si=Deddx4vlbXs2khkx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Barstool Sports\u2019 Dave Portnoy<\/a> featured the Miami location in his \u201cOne Bite\u201d pizza review series. The chef\/owner is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DY4reskOiqe\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Ryan McKeown<\/a>, who appeared on the first season of the Bravo-TV series \u201cBelow Deck Down Under.\u201d McKeown also has Peppi\u2019s Steaks &amp; Hoagies inside Miami\u2019s Brightline station, but this is his first foodie foray into Broward County, choosing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/p\/The-Gateway-Shopping-District-100063680194347\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The Gateway Shopping District<\/a> for his latest debut. It\u2019s part of a South Florida growth spurt that includes recent openings in Delray Beach, Plantation, Hialeah and Miami\u2019s Brickell neighborhood. Dishes include harissa avocado bowls, steak and feta pitas, and falafel crunch salads. OPENING: The venue will host timed \u201cCommunity Day\u201d seatings Aug. 8-9 to diners who register via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/join-us-for-community-day-at-se-17th-street-tickets-1992957836538\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Eventbrite.com<\/a>, followed by an Aug. 10 grand opening, according to spokesperson Emma Vogt. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., Fort Lauderdale<\/a>: For the first time, Motek is moving into Broward County. The brand already operates a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sun-sentinel.com\/2024\/12\/23\/for-israeli-food-lovers-miamis-motek-to-open-in-boca-raton\/?share=odeberllwsotn2nm1dn0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">location in Boca Raton<\/a>, plus multiple in Miami-Dade County <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sun-sentinel.com\/2025\/04\/29\/miami-hummus-hotspot-motek-is-heading-to-nyc\/?share=oitsooki20ntisosdsha\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">and New York<\/a>. The \u00a0upscale Israeli-style Mediterranean restaurant will take over the space that was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sun-sentinel.com\/2026\/07\/20\/7-south-florida-restaurants-we-lost-in-june-july-2026\/?share=tl2tttpsln2seassuc0o\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Stephen Starr\u2019s oceanside El Vez<\/a> at the W Fort Lauderdale hotel. \u201cWith its oceanfront location and unmatched views, Motek by the Sea represents everything we strive for: warmth, quality, and an experience worth returning to,\u201d said owner Charlie Levy, founder of Happy Corner Hospitality. The Italian chophouse\u2019s dining room will be distinguished by Art Deco finishes, marble tables, a wine wall and a vintage red motorcycle suspended over the rear bar. Atlantic Blvd., Pompano Beach<\/a>: After much success in Broward County, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sun-sentinel.com\/2025\/11\/05\/these-south-florida-restaurants-are-giving-away-free-snap-meals-during-government-shutdown\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">owner Minh Do<\/a> (who also runs 545\u00b0 B\u00e1nh M\u00ec Caf\u00e9) will grow his Ph\u1edf Bar footprint with this sister location, joining outposts in Pembroke Pines, Orlando and Boston. The restaurant will serve crispy tamarind wings, coconut mussels, rice flour crepes and many varieties of pho, from flank and brisket to rare eye round. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale<\/a>:\u00a0Led by Michelin-trained <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/tonnonero_ftl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">chef Joe Anthony<\/a>, this restaurant is taking over the space that was formerly Tacocraft Taqueria &amp; Tequila Bar, adding what they described as an ingredient-first philosophy and a coast-to-coast approach to cooking. The menu is designed around responsibly-sourced seafood, handmade pastas and breads, as well as dishes inspired by the flavors of South Florida and the Mediterranean. The name? It\u2019s Italian for \u201cblack tuna,\u201d describing both the vibe (\u201cdark, a little enigmatic, slightly playful\u201d) and the culinary direction (\u201ctuna sits at the center of Mediterranean culture, something you build a meal around\u201d). The 650-foot space will offer a small menu of half-pounders alongside french fries and other sides that are still being finalized, Dadon told the Sun Sentinel. OPENING: Late August, per Dadon. (Meat Master Kosher BBQ\/Courtesy)<br \/>\nPalm Beach County<\/p>\n<p>Boca Brasserie, <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/YvnbNLkXNMGBicjA9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">5377 Town Center Road, Suite 200, Boca Raton<\/a>: This Boca reboot of Stage Kitchen &amp; Bar is expected to arrive six short weeks after its final July 5 dinner service, with a revamped menu of prime rib, burgers, matzoh ball soup, sourdough flatbreads and tableside martinis. The swap to American comfort classics came after chef Pushkar Marathe realized that Stage\u2019s slate of tandoori churrasco, truffle naan and Peruvian chicken was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sun-sentinel.com\/2026\/07\/09\/bocas-stage-kitchen-bar-has-closed-why-one-of-south-floridas-acclaimed-chefs-is-replacing-his-own-restaurant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">too adventurous for folks<\/a> who \u201clike to be in their comfort zones,\u201d he said. After a year of buildout, it\u2019s expected to debut this month in downtown Lake Worth Beach, replacing the former CWS Bar + Kitchen, he told the Sun Sentinel. The American restaurant, a kindred spinoff of Subculture\u2019s Dada in Delray Beach, will offer cedar plank salmon, country-fried steak frites and martinis in an arty space adorned with murals, lyrics by Joy Division, and lines from Kurt Vonnegut novels.
