The city of Doral announced<\/a> on Wednesday, Aug. 5, that one of its police officers died.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith a heavy heart, I join our community in mourning the profound loss we share today alongside the family, friends, and fellow officers of one our own from the Doral Police Department,\u201d Doral Mayor Christi Fraga said in a statement posted on social media. <\/p>\n

\u201cToday, we say goodbye not only to an exceptional public servant, but to a man who wore his badge with integrity, humility, and unwavering sense of duty. His kindness, his dedication to serving others, and his steadfast commitment to the safety of our community will forever remain in our hearts.\u201d<\/p>\n
