The New Glenn rocket had only recently been moved to the pad at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station ahead of the planned Leo New Glenn 1 launch.  <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"6\">No injuries were reported in the explosion.   <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"10\">Blue Origin has since partnered with NASA for further testing of New Glenn&#8217;s upper stage in Mississippi, with the goal of flying again by the end of the year. <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"12\">The first stage of the 320-foot-tall New Glenn launch vehicle is powered by seven American-made BE-4 engines, which use liquid oxygen and liquefied natural gas, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueorigin.com\/new-glenn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Blue Origin&#8217;s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"13\">Each BE-4 engine produces 640,000 pounds of force thrust and the rocket&#8217;s first stage is designed to be reusable, good for a minimum of 25 flights with help in landing and recovery from six hydraulic legs, per Blue Origin. Two of the same BE-4 engines are used to drive the first stage of United Launch Alliance\u2019s Vulcan rocket, the website states. <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"14\">The second stage of New Glenn is powered by two re-startable BE-3U engines, which Blue Origin also touts as being American-made.
