TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Florida State Seminoles packed their bags at the Dunlap Training Center on Wednesday afternoon. The \u2018Noles preparing to head east for two days of practice on the campus of the University of North Florida. The excursion east has become an annual tradition for Mike Norvell\u2019s program during fall camp.<\/p>\n
The seventh year head coach has long said he wants to treat the excursion to Duval County like a road game, hoping his team learns how to do its best and perform in unfamiliar and uncomfortable environments.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re just playing multiple away games in these next couple practices,\u201d said defensive coordinator Tony White of embracing the mindset of the trip. \u201cI don\u2019t know how many copiers we\u2019ve got out there, I don\u2019t know what the setup is, the field\u2019s 90 yards instead of 100 but you know what? We\u2019ve got to go out there and perform. That\u2019s the message from [Coach Norvell]. It\u2019s going to resonate down and we\u2019re going to treat it as such.\u201d<\/p>\n
FSU will practice in Jacksonville on Thursday and Friday before returning to Tallahassee and holding its second scrimmage of fall camp on Sunday night.<\/p>\n
