(CBS12)  \u2014 An electrical fire forced the closure of the <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/news\/local\/costco-warehouse-facilities-hundreds-jobs-port-st-lucie-development-new-depots-approved-plan-legacy-park-tradition-fedex-amazon-tamco-cheney-brothers-oculus-surgical-southern-grove-mayor-shannon-martin-florida-january-11-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Costco<\/a> on Kanner Highway on Thursday. <\/p>\n<p>According to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stuartfl.gov\/753\/Police\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> the Stuart Police Department<\/a>, the Costco at 3173 Kanner Highway experienced an electrical fire that has since been extinguished.<\/p>\n<p>Police ask that shoppers and travelers avoid the area until further notice. <\/p>\n<p>SPD says it will provide an update when Costco reopens. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"STUART, Fla.
