Patty Hernandez: \u201cIt\u2019s wellness meets a festival, meets a dark circus. I wanted to bring something to Churchill\u2019s that had never been done.\u201d<\/p>\n
Creator Patty Hernandez is blending Miami\u2019s underground edge with some serious self-care.<\/p>\n
The day starts with a pole floorwork class then yoga on the back patio.<\/p>\n
Then, it\u2019s brunch \u2013 Churchill\u2019s style.<\/p>\n
Patty Hernandez: \u201cBleu Island Kitchen is actually the, let\u2019s say, like the house kitchen. It\u2019s actually a husband and wife duo like fall off the bone ribs to a brunch menu, we have waffles and we have eggs.\u201d<\/p>\n
After you refuel, you can shop \u2019till you drop, but leave your fast fashion at the door.<\/p>\n
Patty Hernandez: \u201cNot gonna be anything made in China, it\u2019s not going to be anything mass produced. Everything is small batch made, from jewelry to vintage clothing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Natalia: \u201cI focus on vintage from \u201970s, \u201980s, \u201990s, really cool pieces, one-of-a-kind.\u201d<\/p>\n
Alex: \u201cSo it\u2019s like you get a little taste of everything, like, you can engage with it, you can watch, you can buy, you can drink.\u201d<\/p>\n
When the sun goes down, this wellness retreat gets a little wild.<\/p>\n
Enter the dark circus: we\u2019re talking live burlesque by Sofia Luna, and an acrobatic show from Joshira.<\/p>\n
Add in some live local bands and you\u2019ve got a Sunday funday that might require earplugs.<\/p>\n
Hey, sometimes even rockers need to take a breather.<\/p>\n
Patty Hernandez: \u201cI wanted to send the message home that just because people like live music or in the scene, they can take care of their body and they probably should.\u201d<\/p>\n
