TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Tallahassee Animal Service Center is still celebrating 20 DOGust 1st adoptions and would love to keep the momentum going!<\/p>\n

The Animal Shelter Foundation reports 11 dogs and nine cats were adopted on August first, which is recognized as the official birthday of shelter dogs everywhere. <\/p>\n

Several of the dogs who got adopted were previously featured on Furry Friday, including Wiley, who had spent 298 days at the shelter!<\/p>\n

Furry Friday is a weekly collaboration between WCTV and the Tallahassee Animal Service Center designed to get dogs out of their kennels and into the spotlight in hopes of helping them find fur-ever homes, faster.<\/p>\n

Here are the dogs we are featuring this week:<\/p>\n

MEET KANE\"KaneKane is a big boy looking for a family with a big couch!(WCTV)<\/p>\n

Meet Kane!<\/p>\n

This big boy has a big personality and plenty of swag in his wag!<\/p>\n

His family moved away and couldn\u2019t take him along, so he\u2019s ready to settle into a new home with a big couch! <\/p>\n

Kane likes lounging, but his tail really starts wagging when it\u2019s time for a walk and the chance to meet new friends. <\/p>\n

House-trained and crate-trained, Kane is Mr. easy-going. <\/p>\n

Please visit him at the shelter this weekend!<\/p>\n

MEET ODYSSEUS\"OdysseusOdysseus is a man on a mission to find his fur-ever family!(WCTV)<\/p>\n

Meet Odysseus!<\/p>\n

One ear up – one ear down – this scooby doo dog is all about his Scooby treats!<\/p>\n

Odysseus is a young man on a mission – to find his fur-ever family!<\/p>\n

He is active and affectionate and hoping to discover an active, affectionate family … ready to take him for brisk walks and snuggle up with him on movie nights!<\/p>\n

As Odysseus famously said in a newly famous movie, \u201cTime to go home!\u201d<\/p>\n

You can meet Odysseus at the shelter this weekend!<\/p>\n

MEET MAEVE\"MaeveMaeve is sweet and spunky!(WCTV)<\/p>\n

Meet Maeve!<\/p>\n

The marvelous Miss Maeve! <\/p>\n

The lab mix is all in for some back scratches, head scratches, or both at the same time!<\/p>\n

Maeve is sweet … and spunky! <\/p>\n

Maeve likes to move it, move it! Getting the zoomies and romping in the sand!<\/p>\n

Maeve would love to walk the beach with you!<\/p>\n

Her one request? Her favorite toy- a rubber bone to chew on and tote around.<\/p>\n

MEET KARMA\"KarmaKarma is hoping Furry Friday brings her some good karma – with a family to call her own!(WCTV)<\/p>\n

Meet Karma!<\/p>\n

This sweet puppy is wise beyond her years … or should we say beyond her 9 months!<\/p>\n

Karma can sit for treats and leans in for plenty of TLC.<\/p>\n

She is wiggly on a walk with a little pep in her step … and her tail wagging the whole way! <\/p>\n

Karma is hoping Furry Friday brings her some good karma – with a family to call her own! <\/p>\n

Please visit Karma at the shelter this weekend!<\/p>\n

MEET AND GREET<\/p>\n

You can meet these dogs and dozens more awaiting adoption at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. It\u2019s located across from Tom Brown Park at 1125 Easterwood Drive in Tallahassee.<\/p>\n

You can walk through the kennels Tuesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and can also visit by appointment the rest of the week from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.<\/p>\n
