{"id":365625,"date":"2026-08-07T21:16:10","date_gmt":"2026-08-07T21:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/365625\/"},"modified":"2026-08-07T21:16:10","modified_gmt":"2026-08-07T21:16:10","slug":"man-shot-dead-in-lauderhill-neighborhood","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/365625\/","title":{"rendered":"Man shot dead in Lauderhill neighborhood"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Published:\u00a0August 7, 2026 at 2:44 PM<\/p>\n<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Updated:\u00a0August 7, 2026 at 5:08 PM<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">LAUDERHILL, Fla. \u2014 Crime scene tape surrounded a Lauderhill home Friday afternoon as police investigated a fatal shooting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/espanol\/2026\/08\/07\/matan-a-hombre-a-balazos-en-vecindario-de-lauderhill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/espanol\/2026\/08\/07\/matan-a-hombre-a-balazos-en-vecindario-de-lauderhill\/\">Leer en espa\u00f1ol<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">According to the Lauderhill Police Department, officers responded to the 1500 block of Northwest 33rd Avenue at around 1:15 p.m. and found the wounded victim.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police said medics took the man to Broward Health Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him dead. Authorities have not yet released his name.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">An LPD spokesperson said a \u201cmotive is currently unknown\u201d and police had not identified a suspect or suspects.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Neighbors told Local 10 News they heard about four gunshots.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cI heard shots fired. Then I started to hear the girl crying and screaming. Then when I came outside, I saw the deceased person on the stretcher, blood was coming out his nose and head,\u201d neighbor Alsia Shakir said. \u201cI was just in the house watching a movie and then I just hear shots fired.
