TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Florida A&M head football coach Quinn Gray likes the way this team works. One week into practice, that\u2019s his big takeaway for the Rattlers, but he\u2019s about to find out a lot more about them Saturday night as the Rattlers scrimmage for the first time.<\/p>\n
It\u2019ll be the first time this team has practiced inside Bragg this fall. It\u2019ll be under the lights, and coach is excited to see how his team handles the moment.<\/p>\n
He said he\u2019s looking to see who he can trust, who he can rely on, and who they can give the ball to in key situations.<\/p>\n
He said he\u2019s also looking for execution and consistency from this team, because that\u2019s what will make a difference down the line.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s the one thing I talked to them about today. Today was a good day in terms of the way we work, the tempo that we have,\u201d he said after practice Friday. \u201cI thought the energy was good. We have to be consistent. We can\u2019t have one good day, two bad days, two good days, one bad day. You have to be consistent and keep that trajectory on an upward spiral.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve been putting in the work all week, so we\u2019re going out there, playing football,\u201d added quarterback Isaiah Knowles. \u201cWe\u2019ve all been playing football since we were kids. Ultimately if we go out and have fun and execute on the things we\u2019ve been working on, should be a good sight tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Rattlers open the season August 29th at home against Albany State.<\/p>\n
