CENTRAL FLORIDA \u2014 The tropical moisture that has taken over Central Florida will remain in place on Saturday. Dry air will move into our area starting Sunday.<\/p>\n

Our best chance of rain today will come in the afternoon and continue through the evening. Pockets of heavy rain are still expected, and that will be our main threat for the day.<\/p>\n

Before the rain starts, the heat will be noticeable. The heat index is expected to reach the triple digits around lunchtime and will stay that warm until the rain starts in your area.<\/p>\n

Some areas could see as much as 3 inches of rain, but they will not be as widespread as what we saw on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Severe weather is not expected, but some storms could produce strong winds of 50 mph and frequent lightning. These storms are most likely to occur in the early evening.<\/p>\n

The dry air will not prevent tomorrow\u2019s rain chances, but it will limit the chance of heavy rain.<\/p>\n

Isolated showers are still expected next week too. Overall, a dry pattern should remain in place through next weekend.<\/p>\n
