TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Early voting for Florida\u2019s primary election began Saturday morning, with most counties, including several in the Big Bend, opening polling locations to voters.<\/p>\n
In Leon County, voters cast ballots at 10 early voting sites across the county.<\/p>\n
Among them was Shane Stewart, who voted with his wife after they noticed a polling location while driving by. Stewart said they decided to stop and vote rather than put it off.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe saw it when we rode by, and quite frankly I\u2019d forget if I didn\u2019t, so we went ahead and knocked it out,\u201d Stewart said. \u201cI\u2019ve always said if you don\u2019t vote, you can\u2019t complain, so it\u2019s your civic duty.\u201d<\/p>\n
Early voting will continue through Aug. 15 or Aug. 16, depending on the county.<\/p>\n
Voters who are unable to cast their ballots during early voting can vote on Election Day, Aug. 18.<\/p>\n
