Richard W. F. Sirch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Beloved husband and father, CDR. Richard W. F. Sirch, USN, 92, of Orange Park, FL passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026. Born to immigrant parents in Brooklyn, NY on March 9, 1934. Graduated High School from Brooklyn Technical School with an emphasis on Aeronautics. He attended the Merchant Marine Academy and was commissioned into the US Navy following graduation. He then proceeded to Flight Training in Pensacola, FL. He had a decorated career as a Navy Pilot. His last tour, being Commanding Officer of the Navy Hurricane Hunters Jacksonville, Fl. <br \/>Once retired from the Navy, he taught Physics and Chemistry at St Johns Country Day School. Following a second retirement, he and his wife enjoyed travel for many years. He met his wife of 70 years at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Manhattan in 1946. <br \/>He is survived by his wife, two daughters, son-in-law, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. <br \/>A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at Club Continental, Orange Park FL on August 28, 2026 at 11:00. Chaplain William Wiggins will be officiating services. Interment will be at Jacksonville National Cemetery on September 1, 2026 at 1300. Arrangements are under the care of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home, 501 Spring St., Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
