In fact, Florida Senator Rick Scott sounded the alarms, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hotnewhiphop.com\/998507-kanye-west-tampa-concert-jewish-organization-protest\" target=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"font-semibold hover:text-accent-color border-b-2 border-accent-color\">as he referenced Ye&#8217;s Nazi past.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-lora text-dark-grey !leading-[1.9125rem] break-words text-[17px] lg:text-lg\">\u201cWhy on Earth would we use tax dollars to fund someone who has called himself a Nazi and praised Adolf Hitler?\u201d Scott said, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.recorderonline.com\/features\/entertainment_news\/ye-concerts-brought-in-3-44-million-for-tampa-sports-authority\/article_5e5672dc-86f0-585e-983e-b12df50b4843.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"font-semibold hover:text-accent-color border-b-2 border-accent-color\">The Porterville Recorder<\/a>. \u201cThere\u2019s countries all over the world that have\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/world\/europe\/kanye-west-postpones-france-concert-marseille-britain-antisemitism-rcna331896\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"font-semibold hover:text-accent-color border-b-2 border-accent-color\">banned him<\/a>, and we\u2019re going to allow him to come to our state and our city?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-lora text-dark-grey !leading-[1.9125rem] break-words text-[17px] lg:text-lg\">Despite this push, Kanye had structured a clause in his contract with the Tampa Sports Authority. This clause ensured that the show could not be canceled \u201cbased upon artist identity, prior or past public statements, public perception, political viewpoints, or the anticipated or actual content of the performance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-lora text-dark-grey !leading-[1.9125rem] break-words text-[17px] lg:text-lg\">The shows went on as intended, with 63,200 people attending the first show and another 56,000 attending the second.<\/p>\n<p>Kanye West Ignores Backlash<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-lora text-dark-grey !leading-[1.9125rem] break-words text-[17px] lg:text-lg\">As The Porterville Recorder explains, these shows brought in a total of $3.44 million for the Tampa Sports Authority. This exceeds their expectations, as it was believed that the shows would draw $2 million combined.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-lora text-dark-grey !leading-[1.9125rem] break-words text-[17px] lg:text-lg\">Overall, it was a good catch for the Tampa Sports Authority, although questions still persist about whether or not Ye should have been allowed to perform. While he has attempted to apologize, there is no doubt that some fans believe he has yet to properly redeem himself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-lora text-dark-grey !leading-[1.9125rem] break-words text-[17px] lg:text-lg\">Ye has been touring throughout the world this year, and he will continue to do so as 2026 goes forward.
