The event also features a matchup between Florida Atlanta vs. VCU to comprise the doubleheader.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia Tech and Florida, meeting for the first time since 1987, have met 47 times in program history with the Yellow Jackets leading the all-time series, 27-20. The Jackets and Gators have met six times on neutral ground with the meetings tied, 3-3. Georgia Tech ushers in a new era under first-year head coach Scott Cross, bolstered by top 100 recruit Tylis Jordan and incoming freshman Kayden Allen, who was ranked No. 47 in the Class of 2026 by 247Sports. Florida, tabbed as the No. 1 team in ESPN.com\u2019s 2026-27 Way-Too-Early Top 25 rankings, returns four starters from its 2025-26 SEC Championship team.<\/p>\n<p>Tip times and TV designations for the Hall of Fame Series will be announced at a later date. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 9 am EST at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hofseries.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">hofseries.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Hall of Fame Series, owned and operated by Position Sports, is a collection of high-profile non-conference basketball events featuring top collegiate programs competing in premier venues across the United States and internationally. The series annually showcases marquee men\u2019s and women\u2019s matchups while celebrating the legacy and impact of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on the game.<\/p>\n<p>Previous Hall of Fame Series events have been held in Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, San Antonio and Toronto, featuring many of the nation\u2019s top-ranked programs and drawing national television audiences each season.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia Tech\u2019s complete non-conference schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Florida vs. Georgia Tech History<\/p>\n<p>Florida has won the last five meetings with Georgia Tech but trails in the all-time series which dates back to 1923, 27-20. The Gators won the last matchup on November 24, 1987, in the second round of the Preseason NIT. The Yellow Jackets\u2019 last win in the series came at the Gator Bowl Tournament in Jacksonville, Fla. on December 28, 1970.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Quotes from Head Coaches:<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re excited to return to downtown Orlando where Gator Nation has such a strong presence.
