LUCIE, Fla. \u2014<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"0\">A 45-year-old dump truck driver was killed after being hit by another construction vehicle inside a work zone on I-95 just south of Tradition on Monday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.  <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"1\">The driver stepped out of their dump truck on the northbound lanes and was struck by a tractor with a sweeper traveling south, repaving the area as part of an improvement project. <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"2\">The construction worker was transported to Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital, where they later died.  <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"3\">The driver of the other truck was arrested on an unrelated warrant, FHP said.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"4\">FHP&#8217;s Traffic Homicide Investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Worker killed by construction vehicle in work zone in Port St. Lucie overnight PORT ST.
