In his new book, \u201cThe Everlasting Life of Charlie Wall.\u201d<\/a> author Paul Wilborn<\/a> lets his imagination run wild as he builds a world where one of Tampa\u2019s most famous gangsters wasn\u2019t killed in 1955, instead falling into depression before being built back up by an underling.<\/p>\n The truth is that Wall was actually murdered in brutal fashion (think baseball bats, jugulation); that side is pretty well-covered in Scott Deitche\u2019s 2004 novel \u201cCigar City Mafia,\u201d <\/a>which is a must-have on the bookshelf for any self-respecting Tampe\u00f1o.\u00a0<\/p>\n Both authors will be onstage for this after-dinner discussion of Wall, where the Centro Asturiano de Tampa<\/a> will serve Cuban pot roast (boliche!) and baked ziti from Tony\u2019s Ybor.<\/p>\n The district\u2019s new bookseller, Bookends, will be there with inventory so you can get an autograph.
