If you\u2019re a high school football team within the Florida High School Athletic Association\u2019s (FHSAA<\/a>) Class 1A, Region 2 bracket, you\u2019ll have to wait to find out where you\u2019re seeded or if you made the playoffs. <\/p>\n

The FHSAA announced the delay of Class 1A, Region 2 bracket due to legal action by a unnamed member school during their livestream via YouTube of the high school football bracket release show. Just before the show started at 1 p.m., which was originally scheduled to air at 12 p.m., Orange County Judge\u00a0Margaret H. Schreiber\u00a0temporarily lifted the playoff ban imposed by the FHSAA on The First Academy<\/a>\u00a0on Thursday morning. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s frustrating with the timing of this,\u201d Clearwater Central Catholic head coach Chris Harvey said to Rivals on Thursday afternoon. <\/p>\n

Harvey\u2019s Marauders are currently ranked as the No. 1 team in Class 1A, Region 2. <\/p>\n

The Gainesville-based association posted on the screen the following message regarding the delay of Class 1A, Region 2 football playoff bracket\/region quarterfinal matchups. <\/p>\n

Now it\u2019s a wait and see for The First Academy, as they finished the regular season with a 5-5 record after\u00a0defeating last year\u2019s Class 5A runnerup Lakeland<\/a>, 35-28 at Bryant Stadium. The Royals, per the FHSAA Rankings, are listed No. 4 in Class 1A, Region 2, as of the latest ratings. <\/p>\n

Recently, attorney\u00a0Paul Aloise Jr., one of two lawyers that is representing a group of Royals players, filed for an emergency temporary injunction in an attempt to reverse the program\u2019s two-year playoff ban that was imposed on The First Academy by the FHSAA. <\/p>\n

Per USA Today\u2019s Jon Santucci, a lawyer representing The First Academy\u2019s players said that the 1A-Region 2 bracket could be delayed until after a hearing on Monday. <\/p>\n

The FHSAA playoffs is set to start next week, with region quarterfinal games possibly set to kickoff on Thursday, Nov. 13, but the majority being played on Friday, Nov. 14. <\/p>\n
