Credit: Michael Nielsen \/ Visit St. Pete-Clearwater<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Film is back, and this month brings fans of analog photography an excuse to blow through a roll of film in one day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cltampa.com\/arts\/tampas-coastal-film-lab-is-has-built-a-community-around-the-camera-20673482\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Coastal Film Lab of Tampa<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/centralfloridaphoto\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Central Florida Photo Club<\/a> have partnered up to guide hobby photographers through Tarpon Springs on Aug. 30.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The morning meetup starts at Craig Park on Spring Bayou, where the Greek Orthodox Church has staged a winter Epiphany cross dive for the last 120 years. The trek will then take shutterbugs one mile to the world-famous Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks on Anclote River, one of the most picturesque places on Florida\u2019s Gulf Coast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Attendees can then break out on their own for lunch before the walk regroups and takes another mile-long walk to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cltampa.com\/arts\/balling-replay-amuseuments-12292504\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Replay Amusement Museum<\/a> which is home to vintage arcade games and pinball machines.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Coastal Film Lab owner Stephen Zane has staged photowalks before, but told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that this time his shop jumped on to an already-planned photowalk organized by Central Florida Photo Club founder James Huffstutler.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Past Coastal photowalks have seen up to 140 people show up, but Zane estimates that probably 50-70 folks will end up at this one.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTarpon Springs is a little bit more of a haul for most people,\u201d he said. \u201cFor this one, 21 people are already signed up, but we just announced it yesterday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/community.cltampa.com\/event\/oastal-film-lab-and-central-florida-photo-cub-tarpon-springs-photowalk-21679703\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">There\u2019s no cover-for the Coastal Film Lab and Central Florida Photo Cub Tarpon Springs Photowalk happening Sunday, Aug. 30, but RSVP are encouraged.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Entry into Replay Amusement Museum starts at $16 for adults and $10 for children ages 6-12.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/coastal_photowalk.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"collection-link has-small-font-size\">This article appears in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cltampa.com\/collections\/aug-13-19-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">August 13 \u2013 19, 2026<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tRelated\n<\/p>\n<p>\t<script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Sponge Diver Supply in Tarpon Springs, Florida on May 7, 2026.
