An enormous \u201cGreat Gatsby\u201d-style estate in Windermere, Florida, that has a front-row seat to the nightly fireworks shows at the Walt Disney World Resort has just hit the market for $22.995 million.<\/p>\n

The sellers, Jeffrey and Christine Gelman, bought the property in 2005 and built the house in 2011, according to Johnny DelPrete and Devin Kay of The Exclusive Group at Douglas Elliman, who listed the compound last week.<\/p>\n

The Gelmans declined to comment.<\/p>\n

The main house, which has colossal columns, covers 25,000 square feet.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s set on 18 acres\u201412 of which are included in the sales price. The purchaser has the option to buy the remaining six at an additional price.<\/p>\n

The scale of the lot, which has 600 feet of water frontage on Lake Down, sets it apart: It\u2019s at least 10 times the size of those surrounding it.<\/p>\n

In addition to eight bedrooms and a dozen bathrooms, the house is packed with entertainment, wellness and leisure spaces ranging from a double-height great room and a state-of-the-art theater to a chef\u2019s kitchen, a spa and fitness wing, and a temperature-controlled wine room. The property also has a trio of guest houses.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe house is built in a resort style,\u201d DelPrete said. \u201cAnd it has a grand ballroom feel because the spaces are so expansive.\u201d<\/p>\n

The grounds are equally impressive: Manicured lawns that frame lake views give way to a multi-tiered saltwater infinity pool, a summer kitchen and private walking trails.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was built as a setting for the family,\u201d Kay said, adding that it\u2019s so full of luxury features that, as the sellers planned, \u201cyou never have to leave it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He noted that \u201cthe amount of acreage and scale of the home cannot be replicated or rebuilt for the listing price.\u201d<\/p>\n

Windermere, which is part of the metropolitan area of Orlando, sits on the isthmus between Lake Down and Lake Butler.<\/p>\n

It has been home to numerous celebrities, including golfer Tiger Woods, basketball great Shaquille O\u2019Neal and pop star Joey Fatone, according to published reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

DelPrete and Kay said that the town, which has only about 3,000 residents, offers a rare alternative to Florida\u2019s coastal luxury markets, such as Miami and Palm Beach, that are more popular and populous.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s secluded and private\u2014it\u2019s a generational house and property,\u201d DelPrete said.<\/p>\n
