As the Miami Dolphins head to Ashburn, Virginia, for joint practices and a preseason matchup against the Washington Commanders, the focus shifts from internal competition to testing our revamped roster against an outside opponent. With significant questions surrounding both sides of the ball, we are all eager to see how the new secondary handles a formidable Washington passing attack and whether rookies like 1st-round draft pick CB Chris Johnson can hold his own under the pressure of a live game scenario. Also on the defensive front, we’ll be watching to see if Chop Robinson maintains the momentum he has shown thus far this summer and if Jacob Rodriguez continues to display his sideline-to-sideline range and intuitive playmaking ability. Offensively, all eyes are on QB Malik Willis to see if he will continue to justify his role as the starter, while the wide receiver rotation and the offensive line, with the return of Austin Jackson, will be under the microscope. Will this team demonstrate real-game cohesion, or is there still extensive work to be done before the season opener?

So this evening’s Phinsider Question Of The Day is:

What will you be looking for from our Miami Dolphins this coming Friday evening when they take on the Washington Commanders in their first preseason contest? What will you be looking for from specific individual players, the Dolphins’ offensive and defensive units, and the team/coaching staff as a whole?
