(WINK)\u2014The playground at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leegov.com\/parks\/parks\/kurtdonaldson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kurt Donaldson Park<\/a> will close temporarily starting Aug. 17 for equipment replacement.<\/p>\n<p>According to a press release from Lee County, the playground at 180 Hunter Blvd. is expected to remain closed through the end of September, weather and construction conditions permitting.<\/p>\n<p>The playground could reopen sooner if work is completed ahead of schedule, the county says.<\/p>\n<p>The new playground will feature shade, swings, slides, climbing components and other equipment designed to provide children with an enhanced place to play.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors are encouraged to use other nearby Lee County Parks &amp; Recreation playgrounds while the Kurt Donaldson Park playground is temporarily closed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"CAPE CORAL, Fla.
