A Texas man who arrived at Miami International Airport on a flight from Colombia carrying hundreds of hydrocodone pills was arrested on drug trafficking charges, authorities said.<\/p>\n
Marcus Perry, 50, was arrested Wednesday on charges of hydrocodone trafficking and importing a controlled substance into Florida, Miami-Dade jail records showed.<\/p>\n
According to an arrest report, Perry had arrived at MIA on a flight from Medellin and was selected for a Customs and Border Protection search.<\/p>\n
Perry, whose address in the report is in Little Elm, north of Dallas, was carrying two blue backpacks and inside one authorities found a black plastic bag concealing hydrocodone pill packets, the report said.<\/p>\n
In total, there were 460 pills that field tested positive for hydrocodone, the report said.<\/p>\n
Perry told investigators he didn’t have a prescription for the pills, and he was arrested and booked into jail, the report said.
