{"id":370660,"date":"2026-08-13T20:28:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T20:28:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/370660\/"},"modified":"2026-08-13T20:28:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T20:28:09","slug":"video-shows-man-getting-tased-during-confrontation-with-deputy-in-fort-myers-nbc-6-south-florida","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/370660\/","title":{"rendered":"Video shows man getting Tased during confrontation with deputy in Fort Myers \u2013 NBC 6 South Florida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New body camera video shows a Florida deputy using a Taser on a theft suspect during a confrontation.<\/p>\n<p>Steven Rosario Jr., 21, allegedly stole $5 worth of rolling paper from a 7-Eleven located on Lee Boulevard in Fort Myers. <\/p>\n<p>The video <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/reel\/1537737797594150\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/reel\/1537737797594150\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">posted by the Lee County Sheriff&#8217;s Office<\/a> shows a deputy responding to the call and finding Rosario in a sitting area at a gas station across the street.<\/p>\n<p>In the footage, Rosario resists arrest and then eventually pushes the deputy into a trash can.<\/p>\n<p>The deputy then deploys his Taser on Rosario, who fell to the ground.
