TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Elder Care Services is now expanding into three more Big Bend counties: Jefferson, Madison and Taylor counties.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have our case management team ready to roll out of Leon County and head over to do these assessments,\u201d Elder Care Services CEO Jocelyne Fliger said. <\/p>\n
Elder Care Services already provides services to seniors in Leon, Gadsden and Wakulla counties. Now thanks to funding from Advantage Aging Solutions they can help more seniors in Jefferson, Madison and Taylor counties. <\/p>\n
More news out of the Big Bend: <\/p>\n
\u201cThey could be able to get subsidized care that could be bathing, or toileting, or light housekeeping … just like these services that are hands on and often times very needed in households where there are older adults,\u201d Fliger said. <\/p>\n
The services include in home care as well as respite care for seniors with Alzhiemers. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re going to bring those same programs and our acumen out into those rural counties and be able to help our senior population remain living in our homes,\u201d Fliger said.<\/p>\n
Right now the expansion does not include Meals on Wheels.<\/p>\n
